Actor Simbu will fly to Macau on 10 March to shoot for a song sequence for his long-pending Poda Podi. This film marks the debut of actress Varalakshmi Sarathkumar.She plays a dancer in the movie. Says Varalakshmi, ‘Having trained in Salsa, it was a cakewalk for me to play the role of a dancer.’She says, ‘in Poda Podi, I play a dancer who has specialised in different styles like Latin American, Samba, Hip hop and Ballet. So, the role suited my personality very well that I didn’t have to take any special training’.
The movie has music by Dharan and the songs have come really good, she adds. A major portion of the movie was shot in London.
