Will Shabna Kasim aka Poorna sty numero uno in the filmy bandwagon by mid 2012? All eyes open to the celluloid as she plays the title role in her next stunt. Amidst the acting talent, beauty, dancing skills and killer looks, Shamna is a show stopper in Kannada, Tamil and Telungu movies. Chattakkari will set many a hearts aflutter with Shamna’s glamorous heroine role as Julie. The shoot will begin on March 15. The actor shooting for a Tamil movie in Koorg said over phone ‘I’m being asked not to watch the earlier Chattakkari to avoid mimic by mistake’. Shamna who has since wanted to meet Lakshmi says ‘I’m thrilled as the role sure is going to find me the recognition in my native though it’s my 15th movie. I’m really excited to start the play’.
After a successful Neelathamara and Rathinirvedam, G Suresh Kumar of Revath Kalamandir is remaking Chattakkarim the 1974 hit which shot to fame overnight with Lakshmi’s sensous Anglo-Indian role. The film which was directed by KS Sethumadhavan will be reshot by his son Santhosh Sethumadhavan. Chattakkari had a Hindi remake as Julie in 1975 and won Lakshmi, the film fare award. Written by the ever erotic writer of Malayala, Pamman and scripted by Thoppil Bhasi, the story is about an Anglo Indian girl, Julie and her love life.
