Ilayaraja is credited with taking Tamil film music to great heights. He is proving it once again now, as a yesteryear song of him has been selected to be played in the inaugural show of Olympics.
According to reports, the song ‘Naandhaan Ungappanda…’ from the 1981 film ‘Ram Lakshman’, starring Kamal Hassan and Sripriya in lead roles, features among the list of 86 songs which are to be played at the opening ceremony of Olympics.
The other songs that have been selected for Olympics include tracks from the likes of Adele, Sex Pistols, Amy Winehouse and Michael Jackson.
