Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor’s wedding date is confirmed by Sharmila Tagore. Wedding venue will be Pataudis’ ancestral home. It is supposed to be a very quiet affair as Nawab Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi died last year. It is being said that only immediate family members from both sides will be present. A leading daily quoted a source, “Since it’s still so soon after the family patriarch Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi passed away the entire family agreed to a low-key wedding. Kareena and her folks readily agreed to a closed family-only wedding. However a large reception after the wedding was seen to be imperative, considering both Saif and Kareena have such a vast network of friends in the film industry.”
When a leading English daily contacted Sharmila Tagore, she confirmed October 16, 2012 as Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor’s wedding date. She said, “Yes, that’s the date. Then a reception, though not a very big one.”
No questions are asked about groom’s career as it is natural to continue the way it was but people certainly want to know about Kareena Kapoor’s career. It is a good news for Kareena Kapoor’s fans that she is not leaving films but continue working as usual. Even the couple is not going on a honeymoon as none of them can afford to take a break.
The same source said to the daily, “The details are now being worked out. But the honeymoon won’t occur immediately. She has no intentions of letting her career slacken after marriage.”
It is also being said that Kareena Kapoor has confirmed a worried Sanjay Leela Bhansali that she won’t take a wedding break and his film’s shooting won’t be affected at all. It seems here Kareena Kapoor is going to follow her mother-in-law who continued working in films after marriage and not her own mother. Kareena’s mother Babita was a star when she got married to Randhir Kapoor and said goodbye to films. It is being said that in Kapoor family girls don’t work in films. Kareena and Karishma are the first ones to break away from this tradition.
