Priyanka Chopra is signed for the remake of super hit film of seventies

Priyanka Chopra is signed for the remake of super hit film of seventies, Zanjeer.
It seems that Priyanka Chopra is becoming the obvious choice for the female lead role in films, which are the remake of Amitabh Bachchan starer. After the remake of Agneepath, Priyanka has now been signed for the remake of Zanjeer. Though the first shooting scheduler of the film has already started, the director of the film Apoorva Lakhia says that Priyanka will join the unit in the next schedule.
If you remember the original Bollywood master piece made by Prakash Mehra in 1973, that film revolved around Amitabh Bachchan, Pran and Ajit, and Jaya Bhaduri (Jaya Bachchan) had a relatively smaller role in the film.
Though some changes may have been made by Apoorva in the script, it seems the role of the female lead will continue to be small even in the remake. Apoorva, who had already shot around 40 per cent of the film said, “Priyanka will join us in the next schedule in September.”
Interestingly, the remake of Zanjeer is being produced by Prakash Mehra’s son and though everyone is tight lipped about it, even Amitabh Bachchan is expected to do a cameo in it.
Just like it was the case of Amitabh Bachchan in 1973, though Ramcharan Teja has done films in South, he is new to Bollywood. The presence of Priyanka in the film will therefore increase its star value. Telugu star Ramcharan Teja who’s doing Bollywood movie, Zanjeer is superstar Chiranjeevi’s son. He will do the Amitabh Bachchan’s role of the original Zanjeer, the role of cop Vijay, a silently seething angry young man.
Teja told a leading English daily, “I’m working on my Hindi for sure. I’ve got a tutor to teach me the nuances. Waise meri Hindi utni buri nahin hai (Anyway, my Hindi is not that bad). But yes, it’s a character who screams through his silence.”
