It seems, Sonam Kapoor has called Katrina Kaif shameless and wanted to send her flowers for her commitment. In a very strong worded statement, Bollywood actress Sonam Kapoor has called her co-star Katrina Kaif shameless. When a journalist asked to Sonam Kapoor, “When you look back to some choices that you made, for instance Players, do you think it was a wrong move?”
Sonam replied, “I look at it and know what not to do. With all due respect, I want to give Katrina Kaif a bouquet of flowers.” When asked why, Sonam added, “Because I don’t know how she does it. You need a certain kind of commitment and a certain kind of shamelessness to do certain things and you get that may be with stardom, with confidence in your talent, with who you are as a person, and I need to develop that before I do that kind of films — over the top films. I need to learn how to do it as I was terrible in those movies.”
When asked why she is known for her fashion sense rather than for her films, Sonam replied, “Unfortunately when we talk about movies, there are so many of us who can talk about it. But when it comes to fashion, I guess it’s only me, at the risk of sounding immodest.”
Well, irrespective of what Sonam Kapoor thinks about her, the fact remains that rather than being shameless, Katrina is a very courageous lady, who despite not knowing Hindi has managed to select the right films in her career and shine in Bollywood. Having entered the industry in 2004 with a flop film, Katrina has now made it to the top.
But what is likely in this case is that Sonam will soon issue a clarification to say that she has been misquoted. And she has done that exactly. Sonam Kapoor has written on her twitter account, “I’m so over being misinterpreted.. How can some select media take a compliment made to someone and make it into a controversy..”
