Guidance Film Award 2011, instituted by Film Guidance Society of India was announced on Tuesday. Beautiful, directed by V.K.Prakash has been selected as the best film.
While Jayasurya was selected as best actor for Beautiful, Kavya Madhavan was conferred with the title of the best actress (Gaddama). Other awards: supporting actor- Siddiq (August 15), supporting actress - Remya Nambisan (Chappa Kurissu and Traffic), screen play and lyrics - Anoop Menon (Beautiful), male play back singer - Unni Menon (Beautiful) and female play back singer Gayathri (Beautiful).
The prize for Film Guidance Chalathchitra Award includes a sum of Rs 10,000, citation and a statuette. The award will be given out in a function jointly organised by Film Guidance Society and Nikarva Foundation on March 31at Thiruvananthapuram. Award committee chairman Rajasree Kumar Varma and members P.T. Varghese, Adv. Sasankan Pillai, Premraj, Sunil Valakkad and V. Kannan attended the press meet.
