The Tamil film Samudram directed by K S Ravikumar is being remade in Kannada. Saranya Mohan is donning the role which Kaveri donned in the Tamil version.Saranya Mohan speaking about this said, “Samudram is my favourite film. I would have seen this film at least 10 times. I never expected that I will act in the remake version of this film.
The role of Kaveri is powerful. Though I have seen this film many times I have not imitated Kaveri. I am acting in my own style. Apart from this film I am also acting in another Kannada film. This film will hit the screens soon. I am also acting in a Malayalam film that speaks about the affection between the father and daughter. I have agreed to act in two Tamil films but I am yet to sign on the dotted lines.”
