Prime Minister Manmohan Singh sent his recommendations for Rekha’s name to the Ministry of Home Affairs and also to President of India.Cricketer Sachin Tendulkar and businesswoman Anu Aga have been included in the list too. Now Rekha and Jaya both will adorn the Parliament.
Rekha was the glamor icon and diva of her time. Her acting skills and beauty was the talk of the town. But it is always being alleged that Rekha and Amitabh Bachchan has a roaring affair for a long time and that affair naturally created problems in Jaya Bachchan’s married life. Rumor mills still say that Amitabh Bachchan and Rekha are still a couple. Their affair is never off. But no one knows the facts from fiction.
Whatever is the Jaya Bachchan and Rekha’s personal equation is, but publicly they have always showed mature and dignified behavior. Whenever they come face to face, they greet one another and acknowledge each others presence.
Few years ago, when Jaya and Amitabh’s daughter Shweta was getting married to Raj Kapur’s grandson, Rekha too came with the Barat. Rekha came to attend Shweta’s wedding from groom’s side. At that time too, Jaya Bachchan acted as a gracious host and welcomed Rekha to her house during her daughter Shweta Bachchan’s wedding. Few years back, at a function, Rekha even came forward and hugged Jaya Bachchan.
