Dhanush to star in a humour film by Sargunam?

Actor Dhanush appears to have done some serious ‘soul-searching’ of late.  The actor has been hard hit by the successive failures of his films at the box-ofice for the past 3-4 years, the most notable of them being his latest release 3 which was also the debut directorial venture of his wife Aishwarya.  Though the on-screen pairing of Dhanush and Shruti Hassan was appreciated, the film nose-dived at the box-office.
For Dhanush, though, the result hasn’t been a totally unexpected one as he had been repeating his ‘psycho’ act film after film without any interval.  Successive failures at the box-office have rattled the star who is all set to make his debut in Hindi films as a hero.  In order to return back to his winning ways, he started looking for different kind of scripts to suit his image.
Last heard, Dhanush has reportedly decided not to do any ‘serious film’ for the time being as his last couple of films in Mayakkam Enna and 3 have had serious scripts with little room for humour.  In order to deviate from the ‘serious’ mode, Dhanush is said to have decided to star in director Sargunam’s next film which is touted as a full-length comedy.
Dhanush has expressed his willingness to star in the film after he heard Sargnuam’s script.  Kathiresan, who last produced Dhanush’s Polladhavan, returns with this untitled film as producer.  The heroine and other actors are yet to be finalized, it is learnt.
