Biriyani, which is being directed by Venkat Prabhu, was
launched yesterday. The film stars Karthi in the lead with Richa Gangopadhyay
playing his on-screen pair. Yuvan Shankar Raja will be teaming up with his
cousin Venkat Prabhu, as usual, to score the music for Biriyani.
Interestingly, Biriyani will be the 100th film for which
Yuvan Shankar Raja is scoring the music and therefore the expectations are
high.
Biriyani’s costume designer Vasuki Bhaskar said that the
inaugural pooja was held at the office. Vasuki added that she will be the
costume designer for the fifth consecutive time for a film directed by her
cousin Venkat Prabhu.
