Superstar Rajnikanth’s upcoming film Kochadaiyan has been progressing in the neighbouring State of Kerala. The film’s crew had been to London some time back and shot for a fortnight or so in and around London. The film, which has Bollywood’s Deepika Padukone pairing up opposite Rajnikanth, is billed as the country’s first ‘animation film’ to be made using ‘motion capturing technology’.
Deepika Padukone couldn’t take part in the first schedule shot in London as she was busy with her Hindi film commitments. She has now reached Kerala to take part in the shooting of the film’s second schedule. As Deepika’s portions are expected to be completed within four days since this is an animation film, she took permission from the director of her Hindi film Yah Jawaani Hai Deewani and has joined the crew of Kochadaiyan.
Deepika Padukone’s sequences with Rajnikanth are not to be shot out-doors but would be shot inside a studio. The shoot has been going on in Chitranjali Studios in Tiruvallam in Kerala’s capital Trivandrum. It is also said that Ganesh Kumar, a State Minister in Kerala, is an ardent fan of Rajnikanth and has made all the necessary arrangements for the film’s shoot.
