Shahrukh Khan may be featured in a film on hockey legend Major Dhyan Chand. Though nothing is confirmed now. 
Bollywood usually follows trends and the latest trend in the industry is regarding films on sports and sports personalities. After a film on Paan Singh Tomar, and Milkha Singh, now you are going to see a film on the hokey legend Major Dhyan Chand.
Like Paan Singh Tomar, and Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, which is based on the life of one of the best Indian athlete Milkha Singh, the film on hockey legend Major Dhyan Chand will also be made on a large scale. With the idea of making the movie on Major Dhyan Chand on a very large scale, the producers are even approaching Shahrukh Khan to play the lead role in the film.
While confirming that he has been approached for the role, Shahrukh Khan said, “Yes, I have been approached for a movie based on the legendary Dhyan Chandji’s life. Hockey, as a sport, isn’t new to me since I have been an athlete throughout my school and college life, and I’ve also played a lot of hockey.”
Apart from playing hokey coach in his film Chak De India, Shahrukh has also played hockey during the days when he was in school and college. Surely that experience would help Shahrukh Khan to play this role effectively.
In Chak De! India Shahrukh Khan played the role of Kabir Khan. Chak De! India was a superhit movie and appreciated by the public and critics as well. Shahrukh Khan successfully played the role of Kabir Khan, coach of Indian Women’s Hockey team who led them towards the march of victory.
Though it will be a pleasure to see him in the character of the hokey legend Dhyan Chand, Shahrukh Khan is yet to confirm his availability for the film.
