Amitabh Bachchan has recently that he won’t rule out working with Rekha again. Amitabh Bachchan and Rekha were considered hit and hot pair on and off screen in their heydays. “Silsila” was their last film which was released in 1981.
Amitabh Bachchan welcomed the Central Government’s decision of nominating Sachin Tendulkar and Rekha to the Rajya Sabha. He said, “In each session of Parliament, President nominates few set of people for Rajya Sabha from the fields of art, film etc. It is an honorary position. Whoever nominated for this (Rajya Sabha) are deserving people (sic).”
Amitabh Bachchan didn’t rule out working with Rekha again. He said at a function where he was promoting Ram Gopal Varma’s Department, “If there is a good story and I like it then I don’t mind working with her.”
When Amitabh Bachchan expressed his desire to work with Rekha again, Ram Gopal Verma may feel inspired and offers something interesting to both. In fact Amitabh Bachchan may have given inspiration to many filmmakers to cast this hot couple again in their movies.
People were also speculating that how Amitabh Bachchan would rect to Rekha’s nomination to the Rajya Sabha. Amitabh Bachchan’s wife Jaya Bachchan is already a member of Rajya Sabha.
Though Rekha is leading a recluse’s life and people were expecting that she would refuse the offer of Rajya Sabha seat. Rekh is also known to detest politics. Rekha’s biography says that she detest politics so much that at one point of time she stopped subscribing to any newspaper. So its also a mystery that what prompted Rekha to accept this Rajya Sabha seat.
No one knows how Jaya Bachchan will react to Amitabh Bachchan’s statement of working with Rekha again. Rekha and AMitabh Bachchan’s were alleged to have a roaring affair in the past and some people say they are still seeing each other.
