Actress Nayantara can’t blame her destiny: whatever she does, says or gets involved in becomes a ‘big news’ for the media.The media was abuzz with reports that the actress was ‘detained’ at the airport and was questioned for long hours by the customs officials at the Chennai Airport when she was returning from Bangkok along with her manager and make-up man.
Some unconfirmed reports even said that Nayan had been caught ‘smuggling several lakhs of rupees’ into the country. The actress, on her part, rubbishes such reports and says that she doesn’t know as to who instigates such reports and gains what sort of ‘mileage’ through those baseless accusations.Actress Nayantara, her manager Rajesh and make-up artiste Rajesh landed up at Meenambakkam Airport the other day and were reportedly ‘detained’ for a few hours by the customs officials who reportedly conducted ‘separate interrogations’ with the actress and the other two who had accompanied her in orde to corroborate the versions of all the three.
The news obviously created a huge buzz in the media as Rajesh is also into real estate business in a big way. It turns out that it was Prabhu deva, from whom Nayantara had split a few months back, who introduced Rajesh to Nayantara and made him her manager.
Nayantara says that she was not ‘interrogated’ by customs officials and merely went through routine checks. “It could happen to anybody,” she says patiently.
