Sridevi appreciates Tamil teleserial

Actress Sridevi hardly needs to be introduced to Tamil, Telugu and Hindi film audiences.  After establishing herself firmly on top in Tamil films, Sridevi migrated to Hindi films in the early eighties and went on to remain on top in Hindi films for the next 15 years before getting married to Bollywood producer Boney Kapoor.  The former ‘queen of Bollywood’ has two teenaged daughters.
Maheswari, a cousin sister of Sridevi, starred in Tamil films like Ullasam and Nesam after making her debut as an actress in Bharathiraaja’s Karuthamma.  After a gap of more than a decade, Maheswari has applied the grease paint by making a comeback as an actress albeit on small-screen.  She now plays the lead role in the teleserial titled My Name Is Mangamma which isbeing aired on Zee Tamil television channel.
Sridevi reportedly paid a visit to the shooting spot where the teleserial’s shoot was going on.  The veteran actress, who looks good enough to give many leading a run for their money, spent some time watching Maheswari in action.  Afterwards, Sridevi appreciated Maheswari for her performance and left the place.
Obviously, Maheswari is extremely delighted to have received kudos from her elder sister, who is widely appreciated by many as an ‘all-round’ actress who could get into and out of any sort of character(s) with equal ease.
