One of the many passions of actor Ajith is his interest in cooking. The actor, who is referred to as ‘Thala’ by his ardent fans and the industry folks, has this uncanny habit of donning the apron from time to time and getting in to ‘cooking’ mode. His wife Shalini and daughter Anushka aren’t complaining, though!When he was shooting for his last year’s super-duper hit Mankatha, Ajith had the time to indulge in his passion one day and cooked and served spicy briyani to the members of the crew and technicians. Trisha, who was his co-star in the film, had even remarked that Ajith’s cooking was no less than the dishes made in the many five-star hotels she visits quite frequently.
Whenever Ajith visits star hotels with his family for dinner or lunch, he would try out the dishes soon after returning home. If the food doesn’t match the taste of the food served in the hotel, he would call the chef of the hotel on phone and would seek his ‘counsel’. Only after putting into action the tips he got from the chef and making the food item perfectly would ‘Thala’ feel peace at heart.
At a time when women, mostly house-wives, are increasingly finding it difficult to cook at home, it’s indeed an appreciable thing that Ajith does it quite frequently. Shalini, on the other hand, spends her pastime by clicking Anushka’s photographs from all possible angles.
